How we do events  

At Swallowfield we have a standard fee to hire the property so you know what you’re getting and when. Its the transparency that we like, so you can rest assured and book accordingly. Wedding hire is for 5-6 hours plus bump in/out. Timing and days are negotiable. We can cater for 100 guests in a sit down capacity or up to 130 guest for cocktail style canapes. We have a fully equipped bar as well as a commercial kitchen and refrigeration available on site.

You can choose to do it all yourself, and serve wood fired pizzas or hire a wedding planner, wait staff and caterers to take care of it all for you.

Ceremony The lawn, family oak tree and pine forest are our most popular places for ceremonies. There are a few alternative options for wet weather and smaller groups too. We have several different shaped arbors available as part of our DIY packages as well as wine barrels and chairs that can be incorporated into your setup. At Swallowfield vineyards we encourage eco-conscious flower petals, confetti, sparklers or bubbles for congratulating our couples.

Reception - Wedding receptions can be held outside (weather permitting) on our beautiful lawn area or inside our rustic Stables. The stables can be partially opened to reveal a view of the horses and the beautiful valley or closed down in the evening when the open log fireplace is lit. As part of our inclusive DIY  package we can supply basic tables, chairs. All crockery, cutlery, and a selection of different glasses as well as some lawn & road signage.

Catering - No matter what style of reception you have in mind or your we can work with you to come up with some truly fantastic catering options. We welcome (and have the facilities for) food trucks, country style mobile spit roasts, grazing tables, pizza vans, gourmet BBQ's, gelati carts etc. The options are only limited by your imagination. Contact individual Caterer’s of your choice to confirm options and pricing for your day.

Drinks - alcohol and non-alcoholic are BYO. You are welcome to provide your guests with whatever alcohol you would like. This BYO option keeps the patrons happy and options plentiful. Think signature wedding cocktails, or personalised wine labels. We can supply wine, beer, champagne & tumbler glassware.

 Entertainment - We encourage bands, live music acoustic/duo or DJ's to be part of your big day. There is plenty of space for the all important dance floor. Its all about how you decide to configure your tables & chairs.

    Chardonnay or Pinot?

    The choice is up to you. Take yourself for a stroll through one of our sprawling vineyards, or past the horses for a pat. Take a deep breath and have a moment together, before the party really starts.

  • STABLES

    Our converted vintage stables are the perfect space for the reception of your dreams. With a fully equiped bar and commercial kitchen, open log fireplace in winter, fully retractable double doors and of course plenty of room for dancing, what more could you need?

  • FOREST

    How about your own private pine forest? Mushrooms and pine cones in Autumn and the magical smell of lush greenery paired with country air year round. A great alternative ceremony space that will give your guests that all important wow factor.

  • FIELDS

    Follow each other through the fields and farmland beyond the fences. Will you wander in the wildflowers, or just soak up the golden rays in our dreamy golden grass? Perfect for that playful couple shot or to race the whole wedding party on a Summers day.

We didn’t even get to tell you about the lily pond, the vintage shedding, the estate gardens, the lake, the grand oak or the lawns. Perhaps you should just come and see them for yourself?
